Oh, what a tangled web we weave…There’s an old proverb that a single lie compels multitudes more to bear the weight of it.  That is certainly the case in this story!  

Best friends since childhood, Jane and Marnie shared their deepest secrets and wildest dreams with each other. But as they grow into adulthood, they begin to keep those revelations to themselves.  

And Jane doesn’t like that one little bit.  

This book is her confession of the secrets she’s been keeping. A complex examination of how lying can escalate, memories can mutate and the deeply disturbing lengths one might take to hold on to a long lifeless ideal.

Nothing like a little moral bankruptcy to keep the pages turning!

Footnote: While the reader knows within a few pages how this is going to end, the author cleverly employs the technique of the occasional use of the second person narrator.  The appearance of the “you” ensures that the reader is along for the entire ride. Brace yourself!
