Crazy English - Richard Lederer

Rating: 8/10
A fun, fascinating foray into the foibles of the English language. Let me share just a taste of the wit and wisdom included here…
Paradoxes: darkrooms can be lit, hours can be longer than sixty minutes, fingers don’t fing, you’re alarm clock goes off by going on. If a teacher taught, how come a preacher didn’t praught? Why must all shrifts be short? All bystander’s innocent? We can make amends, but not just one amend. Have you ever run into someone who is combobulated, shevelled or gruntled?
Footnote: Sharp, brilliant and complex use of language. The wry humor may be hard to pick up on so read carefully!
