Her Every Fear - Peter Swanson

Mystery

Rating: 7/10

I would never deny that mysteries and thrillers are my favourite kinds of books to read, so it’s always with unexpected delight that I stumble into one with a unique hook or spin. Peter Swanson does a clever and subtle job of taking a story framework from the brilliant mind of Hitchcock and spinning a modern-day suspense tale from the threads he picks at. Kate finds herself in a surreal Rear Window like experience as she swaps apartments with a cousin to overcome, and escape from, past traumas. You can of course expect a murder with healthy doses of paranoia and creepiness.

If you loved Strangers On A Trainas much as I did check out The Kind Worth Killing

Footnote: The Hitchcock spin was the best part of this authors works for me. He is now going in a different direction, so I think we may parting ways.
