Horror/Suspense

Rating: 7/10

Well that was uncomfortable! Despite its darkness and looming sense of despair, this was an engrossing read.  One of those you can’t bring yourself to believe this is going to go there type of books.  I will tell you this much, it totally goes there.  Any beyond.

A man survives a crash that killed his wife, but he is far from unscathed. Left mostly paralyzed and unable to talk, the story captures the nuance of someone trapped in their body with no escape.  As he passes the days, we get glimpses into his memories and a sense of something rather unsavory barreling its way towards us.

A piece of advice here, read this carefully.  The real story in the one layered under the one you think you are reading.

Footnote: An interesting tidbit, one of the translations of the English word hole in Korean is alone.  Very apropos in the case of this story.  In both languages.
