Book Of Q - Jonathan Rabb
/Mystery/Thriller
Rating: 7/10
“Language is only the instrument of science, and words are but the signs of ideas. I wish however, that the instrument might be less apt to decay, and that signs might be permanent, like the things they denote.” I thought this an apt quote to precede my review of this book.
A complicated mystery based in theological, historical and archaeological foundations. A priest wavering in his faith is given a scroll which leads to the discovery of a puzzle that reveals a map to an ancient codex thought to support a brotherhood who follow the “perfect light” to one true church.
Plenty of depth in this story and any who love puzzles will be delighted as they attempt to put the pieces together.
Footnote: Hefty in detail on the foundations mentioned, but in the end that makes for a richer story.
