The Fireman - Joe Hill

If you didn’t already know, Joe Hill is the son of Stephen King.  And Stephen King is my favourite author. A fact which will undoubtedly be repeated with something like incessant glee throughout the lifespan of this blog.  When I heard that his son was writing I was thrilled to discover he was really good at it. This book is an homage to The Stand (my favourite book), but ultimately and thankfully more hopeful.  It’s an epic supernatural thriller that stretches the bounds of what is believable by anchoring the reader to what is real and tangible.
