This petite puzzle of a book is set sometime in a near future in a place that doesn’t quite come across as tangible. A young couple living a seemingly idyllic life get a visit from an unnerving stranger with news that can only be described as odd. Nothing is quite what it seems in this book and the overarching feeling for me in the reading of it is best described as eerie.

If this story had a message to deliver, it might be that habitual and comfortable activity is a kind of prison, which would mean all kinds of trouble for me!

Footnote: In a review of this book I found online, someone used the word WOWZA. I cannot unsee it.
