If I Could Be Any Stephen King Character...

If you haven't guessed it, when it comes to Stephen King, I’m kind of an unrepentant fan. I don’t kid myself that King is perfect. I do not love all his works equally, but he’s still the author who drags me into his clown infested sewer time and again. Why? He just gets me there every time. No matter the premise, he makes the fantastical seem plausible, not just through great exposition and world building but through the characters themselves. He gets in their heads and helps you understand them and what they’re experiencing. In his universe, there are monsters aplenty, but what of the heroes? Gathered for you here are not just the malevolent villians, but the brave and bold champions.

From The Mind Of The Master…

The Losers Club (Bill, Ben, Bev, Eddie, Mike & Stan) > It

A gang of ridicously brave misfits that battled with creepy devourer of children-Pennywise. Not once, but twice.

Stu Redman > The Stand

An empathic everyman who becomes a leader in the world of survivors post the superflu. My first book crush.

Danny Torrance > The Shining

A brave and resilent boy trying to hold the ghosts at the Overlook at bay as he comes into his psychic powers.

Jake Epping > 11/22/63

A nobile man who finds himself grapping with a choice to alter history and unexpected true love.

Ben Mears > Salem's Lot

A man haunted by his past who must battle the vampires overtaking his hometown.

Holly Gibney > Holly

A savvy and fearless investigator willing to confront any supernatural entity, no matter how terrifying.

Carrie White > Carrie

A relentlessly bullied girl who get's her revenge, and then some. Prom is terrifying!

Luke Ellis > The Institute

A gift child tasked with leading the escape from the facility that wants to tamp down his gifts. Grownups suck!

Charlie Reade > Fairytale

A teenage misfit charged with saving the world from an evil fairytale land. Once upon a time has never been so fun

Annie Wilkes > Misery

A psychopathic and focused torturer of her unsuspecting idols. Bitches be crazy.

Pennywise > It

A truly menacing villian who likes to play with his food. Seriously, those teeth? Yikes.

Leland Gaunt > Needful Things

A greedy man, intent on making his customers pay a very hefty price for his stock. A dealer in nightmares.

Kurt Barlow > Salem's Lot

A vampire hellbent on "converting" the town's populace into bloodthirsty monsters.

Thad Beaumont > The Dark Half

A writer who battles his inner demons on the outside, thru his alter ego George Stark.

Randall Flagg > The Stand

Pretty much the epitome of the "big baddie" in all King's novels.

Mr. Mercedes > Mr. Mercedes

A true psychopath who toys with those trying to find him after he plows into a crowd, killing eight people. Driving, you guessed it, a Mercedes

Cade Creed > Pet Semetary

A Chucky like reveant brought back to life by a greiving father. Sometimes dead is better.

Crimson King > Dark Tower Series

The embodiment of all evil, whose goal is topple the center of all time and space. A bad bad boy.
