I Will Find You - Harley Coben

Thriller

Rating: 8.5/10

What I am about to describe to you will sound utterly implausible. The weight of the disbelief you will have to suspend is mammoth. And that my friends, is the sheer, unadulterated fun of this book!

Five years ago, David was convicted of the brutal murder of his three-year-old son. Today his ex-sister-in-law, the first visitor he has had in those years, shows him proof that his son isn’t dead after all.

What’s a father to do? Well, escape a maximum-security prison where he is being house in special unit of course. All while dodging the crazed inmate who seems to have marked him for death. And then the guard being blackmailed by aforementioned crazed inmate to take up the mantel of finishing the deed.

I have been a dedicated Harlan Coben reader for a very long time, but the releases over last few years have been a bit underwhelming. Whether that was his slump or mine, no matter. He is back sticking regular people in crazy situations with the level of gleeful disregard for believability I have come to know and love!

And better still? It reads like a movie. A little like that one starring Harrison Ford…
