The Maid - Nita Prose

Mystery/Fiction

Rating: 8/10

Molly is your maid.  She knows so much about you, but what do you know about her?

When a book is touted to have a Clue like plot, this reader is going to investigate!  And this quirky and delightful read does not disappoint. Cozy mystery lovers rejoice!  This is one for the keeper’s shelf.

Molly loves her job, bringing the rooms of the Regency Grand Hotel back to a state of perfection each and every day. But on the day she discovers a guest dead in his bed she finds herself in a very messy situation indeed.  Suddenly it’s become difficult to follow her usual neat and orderly path through life.

Something you need to know about Molly, she is neurodivergent.  Often leaving her struggling to see the nuances of things and making her much more susceptible to being taken advantage of.  But know this reader, she is not to be underestimated!

It felt like this was a two-pronged mystery; who was guilty of the actual crime at the center of the story and how should the reader decipher Molly’s interpretations of the events and interactions?  Molly makes for an utterly unique unreliable narrator.

A lovely read on every level!
