It’s a rarified occasion that I am left speechless at the finish of a novel.  That a feeling akin to betrayal swells in me to put pen to page in any attempt to reflect on the experience. A reader’s reaction to a book will always correlate to where they are in their life, my hope is you may find yourself as transported as I was by this read. At its core, its heart, this is a love story.  A true love, soulmates exist kind of story.  Henry has a displacement disorder, he flits from time to time, changing ages and demeanors, but never the path that is fated for him.  Claire is his lifelong love, who waits for his reappearance with a growing sense of melancholy.

Footnote: Don’t go into this thinking it’s a Nicholas Sparks novel.
